Or is it “Bo”?
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock this weekend through today, you know that the Obama’s have settled on a dog. Specifically a 6 month old Portuguese Water dog that was given to the family by Senator Ted Kennedy and his wife Victoria.
The Kennedy’s had this to say:
“We couldn’t be happier to see the joy that Bo is bringing to Malia and Sasha… We love our Portuguese water dogs and know that the girls, and their parents, will love theirs, too.”
Here is a video that was shown on ‘The TODAY Show’ about the dog (the dog is cute, but this coverage is over the top):

There was a question posted by someone on the912project.com that went something like this:
Okay, Guys… I have a simple question I need someone to answer:
Liberals (progressives) alway lie about where they really want to take the country, because they know, if they told the truth about it, the people would reject it. If the people would reject it, then why doesn’t it ever occur to them, there might be something wrong with it? In 30 years of fighting these people, the only answer I have come up with is, liberalism is a psychological disorder that needs to be treated. Can anybody help me???
My soapbox response that is relevant to the desired content of this site, went like this:
The problem now lies in the PRINCIPLES of these radical leftists. They have none. Their vision of America has been tainted by their need to feel like the victim in every shape and form of society. ‘Its the racists, its the sexists, its the capitalists, its the anti-gays, its the rich… ‘ …etc. They have embraced views held by figures in the past that have led to massive loss of life in every way possible be it war – both civil and foreign, revolution, genocide, you name it!! They KNOW there is something wrong with the way the country is being run, and to their eyes it has been wrong from the BEGINNING!

‘H.R. 1664 Pay for Performance Act of 2009′ – Link
Hold on to your wallet. Timothy Geithner is chomping at the bit at the proposition to be able to control what goes into it and what stays out. The ‘Pay for Performance Act of 2009′ that has passed the house with full Democrat support and even a couple Republicans, Reps Ed Royce of California and Walter Jones of North Carolina, supported it. Fortunately, the rest of the Republican House minority voted against it, for possible varying political reasons including saving face with their constituents, but at least they’re holding their ground on SOME issues.
I’ll let the words of Byron York from the Washington Examiner describe it to you:
The new legislation, the “Pay for Performance Act of 2009,” would impose government controls on the pay of all employees — not just top executives — of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government. It would, like the tax measure, be retroactive, changing the terms of compensation agreements already in place. And it would give Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner extraordinary power to determine the pay of thousands of employees of American companies.
The purpose of the legislation is to “prohibit unreasonable and excessive compensation and compensation not based on performance standards,” according to the bill’s language. That includes regular pay, bonuses — everything — paid to employees of companies in whom the government has a capital stake, including those that have received funds through the Troubled Assets Relief Program, or TARP, as well as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
