March 27th, 2009Distractions: Get Used to Them
What do Rush Limbaugh and AIG have in common?
They are smoke screens, distractions to take the attention of the American people away from the real mess. It can be compared to how a magician distracts the audience with one hand while he performs the turn with the other.
The administrations attacks on Rush Limbaugh that were then propogated by the media … a huge distraction. Rush is one of the true conservative heroes of my time, the attacks are based on this quote from his radio show:
“The dirty little secret … is that every Republican in this country wants Obama to fail, but none of them have the guts to say so; I am willing to say it.”
They hooped and hollered, saying that if you want the President to fail, then you want America to fail.
That is a lie, how could one be comfortable supporting a President who means to change the face of the United States in a blatant attempt to grow the Government to unsustainable proportions and subverting all the values we have strived to live by? The people raged.
After the dust settled it was time for another smoke screen issue, AIG and their retention bonuses. These were not only bonuses that were required BY CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT signed by both AIG and the employees themselves… but the bonuses were also an exception to the executive pay cap law put into place by our lawmakers.
These contracts were explicitly allowed to occur, it said so in the law that was passed!
Chris Dodd and Timothy Geithner had their hands all over it, then just weeks later they pretend they had nothing to do with this and act as if these bonuses are an outrage and they need to prosecute every hand in the cookie jar.
Once again – propogated by the media. The people rage and death threats fly. If they only knew they were being weaseled again by this tyrannical government they so jubilantly support.
The only thing more frustrating than this corruption, is the people that buy into it and sit back while Obama and his chronies push us into an unprecedented amount of debt, undermine capitalism, and drive us ever so closely towards a socialist society.
Maybe Atlantis functions as a Republic? If not, I know a great deserted island that would love to have some tenants.
